I went to Weston Lakes, Albury yesterday. I fished for a couple of hours (using my own flies) but had no luck except of one. I hooked this fish on a cats whisker and played it for about a minute, then it was gone. I checked the line and there was no fly on, but it did not have the usual look of the knot coming undone.
I walked round the lake fishing as I went but nothing else. I only saw one fish caught, others had said that they had caught initially but then it had gone dead. At this I decided to go down to Powdermills.
There not many people fishing there and therefore plenty of space. I did the same as Weston, walked all round the bank. Absolutely nothing. I did see one fish caught but that was the lot.
Unsuccessful or what?
